Progress Update

Our goal is to keep the community updated on the progress of Las Colinas Neighborhood in Kenedy, Texas...

The Las Colinas Phase 1 Subdivision is approximately 65% complete as of November 1st, 2014.  Wet utilities (storm sewer, water, and sanitary sewer) have been installed to completion and are awaiting city testing for final approval.  Dry utilities (telecommunication cables and electrical) have been designed with sleeving under proposed roadways completed and installed where necessary.  In addition, landscape sleeving for future irrigation lines under proposed roadways have also been installed.

The contractor will have completed all roadway subgrade preparation and base installation within the next two weeks in anticipation of half of the streets having curb and gutter poured on November 17th.  The contractor has scheduled the other half of the street’s curb and gutter installation for November 24thalong with any other remaining concrete improvements (i.e. for the detention pond) needed.

Paving of the proposed roadways will likely start around the first of December once all necessary testing of the roadway subgrade and base preparations have been completed and approved by the City of Kenedy.  Taking into account the two big upcoming holidays, and delays caused by the current concrete availability issues, completion of the subdivision improvements, i.e. 100%, should be on or before January 1st, 2015.

We expect for the lots to be visually differentiable by Thanksgiving so a customer could walk or drive the neighborhood and pick out a specific lot.
